where it all
began
Baking is in my blood. Growing up, my mum, Margaret, and grandma, Beatrice, were my biggest inspirations in the kitchen. They taught me how to turn simple ingredients into something special.
My dad grew our vegetables, so everything was from scratch. I didn’t realise it at the time, but those moments stuck with me.
Many of our recipes are passed down from my mum, with a few tweaks of my own. Our strawberry jam and almond slice have become classics. This business is about more than just baking – it’s about family and bringing that sense of home to our customers. We all lend a hand, and we hope our customers feel part of the journey.

People often ask how it all began.
For me, it started in 1998 working at a local restaurant where I discovered my passion for baking. I began making apple pies and birthday cakes, and that’s how my business was born, in 2005.
Now, I’m grateful to share this journey with my daughter Alice, who joined me in 2011. We’ve spent over 20 years running a small shop and coffee shop, making memories together as a family.

Growing up and moving from a home kitchen to a real bakery space was a huge milestone for me. Around that time, our flapjack got a gold star at the Guild of Fine Foods awards in 2009, and that was amazing! I still get goosebumps thinking about it.
Running a business can be tough, with rising costs and long hours, but I think that’s when you learn the most. When people doubt you, you just have to work harder and show them what you’re made of. Being my own boss is amazing, even if it means working 24/7, because I get to do what I love.
For me, baking is about more than just food – it’s about sharing love, family traditions, and going that extra mile for our customers. I hope that’s what people take away from our bakery and products.
